Builds/Sky Emperor
Sky Emperor is the 4th job of the Star Emperor (Star Gladiator → Star Emperor → Sky Emperor). It is a melee fighter whose skills follow a day-and-night cycle of sun and moon states, and every attack scales with POW. Books are its weapon of choice.

Key 4th-job skills
| Skill | Type | What it's for | Scales with |
|---|---|---|---|
| Midnight Kick | Melee, weapon element | Area around you (up to 9×9): 9,350% at level 5, +2,450% in the Midnight Moon state or under Enchanting Sky. Usable in Rising Moon or Midnight Moon. | POW (+5% per POW), Sky Mastery, base level |
| Noon Blast | Melee, weapon element | Hits a target and up to 7×7 around it: 9,500% at level 5. Usable in Rising Sun or Noon Sun; can crit only in Noon Sun or under Enchanting Sky. | POW (+5% per POW), Sky Mastery, base level |
| Rising Sun / Rising Moon | Melee, weapon element | Starter attacks. Each cast moves you one step along the sun cycle (Rising → Noon → Sunset) or moon cycle (Rising → Midnight → Dawn). | POW, Sky Mastery, base level |
| Sunset Blast / Dawn Break | Melee, weapon element | The next steps of each cycle; Dawn Break gets +1,200% in Dawn Moon | POW, Sky Mastery, base level |
| Enchanting Sky | Self buff, 120 AP | Counts as every sun and moon state at once, for 90 s per level (15 minutes at level 10). Unlocks Sky Sun, Sky Moon and Star Light Kick. | – |
| Sky Sun | Melee, weapon element | Area around you (up to 7×7), can crit. Needs Enchanting Sky. | POW (+5% per POW), Sky Mastery (+7% × skill level per level), base level |
| All in the Sky | Physical, weapon element, 70 AP | Jumps to a target up to 9 cells away. Single target: 12,250% at level 10, not reduced or raised by base level. Hits 3 times against Demihuman and Demon monsters. | POW (+5% per POW) |
| Twinkling Galaxy → Star Burst / Star Cannon | Melee, weapon element | Stars fall at random in an area; Star Burst and Star Cannon need you to stand in your own Twinkling Galaxy and replace it | POW, Sky Mastery, base level |
The cycles are the heart of the class: Rising Sun starts the sun cycle, Noon Blast needs Rising Sun or Noon Sun, and so on. Sun and moon states block each other, so you normally follow one cycle at a time. Enchanting Sky removes all of that: while it is on, every skill acts as if you were in the best state. Noon Blast, Sunset Blast, Midnight Kick, Dawn Break, Star Burst and Star Cannon each give 3 AP, which is how you pay for it. Sky Mastery adds a little to every skill and is needed at level 5 for most of them; War Book Mastery gives +1 P.ATK per level (+2) and +3 HIT per level with a Book.
Build: Enchanting Sky (leveling)
For almost everyone. Fill up AP, turn on Enchanting Sky, then clear groups with Midnight Kick.
- Stats
- STR 130, AGI 110, VIT 110, DEX 100, rest LUK (about 75).
- Traits
- First ~40 points: POW 40. Up to ~80: POW 60, STA 20. Later: POW 110, then STA and CRT.
- POW adds 5% to every Sky Emperor attack, +1 P.ATK (+1% damage) per 3 points and +5 ATK per point. STA gives RES so you survive in melee. Job levels also give +12 POW, +14 STA and +7 CRT.
- Skills to max first
- Sky Mastery 5, Rising Moon 1 → Midnight Kick 5, Rising Sun 1 → Noon Blast 5, Enchanting Sky 10, Sky Mastery 10, War Book Mastery 10. Then Sunset Blast 3 → Sky Sun 5 (needs Noon Blast 3 and Enchanting Sky 7).
- Playing it
- Start with Rising Moon on a group, then Midnight Kick (and Noon Blast in the sun cycle) to build AP. At 120 AP cast Enchanting Sky; at level 10 it lasts 15 minutes. While it is on, Midnight Kick always has its bonus and Noon Blast and Sky Sun can crit, so alternate them. Recast Enchanting Sky when it ends (60-second cooldown).
Build: All in the Sky (bosses)
For MVPs and strong single monsters, on top of the leveling build.
- Stats
- As above, but move about 30 points from VIT into LUK for more critical hits.
- Traits
- POW first. Once you have 60–70 POW, add CRT: every 3 CRT is +1% critical damage, and All in the Sky, Noon Blast and Sky Sun can crit.
- Skills to max first
- War Book Mastery 5 (needed), Rising Sun 1 and Rising Moon 1 → All in the Sky 10.
- Playing it
- All in the Sky costs 70 AP and has a 2-second cooldown. Its damage does not grow with base level, so it is best against bosses and Demihuman or Demon monsters (triple hits). Build AP with your normal attacks between uses.
Before 4th job (base 99–200)
As a Star Emperor, Solar Burst (in Sun Stance) is the main leveling skill: 1,000% + 220% per level (3,200% at level 10), multiplied by base level / 100, in a 7×7 area around you; Light of Sun adds +5% per level. Full Moon Kick (Lunar Stance, 1,100% + 100% per level, also 7×7) is the moon option, boosted by Light of Moon. Raise STR first, then AGI, VIT and DEX.
Tips
- Your attacks take your weapon's element, so a weapon endow (for example from an Elemental Converter or a Sage) helps against monsters weak to that element.
- The 2nd Power Plant has Demon (Spell Addicted Plaga) and Demihuman (Spell Addicted Sanare) monsters, good targets for All in the Sky. Rudus Dungeon 3 is a solid melee leveling spot. See the Leveling Guide.
- Keep STA and VIT up: melee classes take the most damage at 200+.
- Learning the cycles takes a few tries. Resets cost 5,000z at the Reset Girl, so experiment.
